Founder support networks say they're fielding more burnout-related conversations this year than in recent memory, and much of it traces back to signs founders initially wrote off as ordinary stress.
Common early indicators include disrupted sleep, avoidance of routine decisions and a growing detachment from the parts of the business that used to be energizing.
Mentors are increasingly recommending founders build in scheduled reviews of their own workload, not just the business's metrics, as a preventative habit.
